Roger was our neighbor and friend in Greenpoint Brooklyn in 1980-1981. He visited us in West Virginia and Colorado before he died. I miss him and think of him often. When he left the US he said he was returning to England to die and I never heard from him again and have found almost no trace of him until today when I saw his picture on this quilt. To see his face brings back a lot of memories -- he was a documentary film maker, creative thinker, wonderful cook, a bold, interesting man. I wish I knew what became of the documentary he was making about a singing group in New York City. If I remember correctly everyone in the group was very ill but found strength and healing when they sang. Roger also had a job for awhile writing fortunes for a fortune cookie maker in NYC. Thank you to whoever put his name and picture on the quilt. We shared a friend.

I just wanted to tell you David, how much I miss you. I looked at your panel tonight and read all the comments made by others, their words moving me to tears more often than not. It is a wonderful community we have found here, all of us surviving the loss of someone we love, taken tragically by a disease that has no bounds or prejudice. It is in this tiny world of words that we've been allowed to voice not only memories and loss, but we've been given a chance to call out to those loved ones once again and really feel connected, as if you are right there, listening and smiling at every word. I know that is what you're doing right now David, you're hearing me talk to you, like I often do, and you are smiling at the knowledge that we all love you so much. The impact that you made on the lives of those you touched lives on, and will continue to do so. Thank you for the many hours we talked about life, quality vs quantity, you were always so positive, you instilled such strength and faith in me. Thank you for being you, no judgments, no pressures, I love you, you lived life by your standards in your way, you will always be a hero to me. Be safe and fly high, your an angel now!!!! I love you.
Always and Forever,

I cannot get past the web interface to view the quilt. Your setup requires that I know a name or a block before I can see the digital image. Too time consuming when I simply want to browse the images to get a feel of the whole.

There is rarely a day that I don't think about, and miss Pat. Our time lost one of its great wits and writers. Pat was my best friend, there has been no other like him for me, and there never can be. His family and husband are always in my prayers.

I wa watching a T.V how and they were speaking about H.I.V. I decided to search my moms name because when she found out she was positive it was in mid 80's late 90's. A friend of hers went to washington to put her name on the Quilt. I will never forget it, I think I am the only one who knows her name is on this quilt. I didn't have a clue this was on the computer, but I am glad I found it. My Mom passed in 1997, if feels like yesterday every day. I miss you so much
