My Dad

When I was young my Dad left. I was far too young to understand the full scale of the situation which was he left my mom for another man. He passed away when I was 17 from AIDS, and at the time of his death I had not spoken to him for about 7 years. I still remember my last conversation with him like it was yesterday. I did not know that his family has even made this patch for him until a year ago. Now I am 33, and I miss him every day. I wish I could of said goodbye, I wish I could of told him I love him. I wish he was still here to be the parent I needed...I just wish he was still here. I know I will see him again one day, but until then I will miss him and try to make him proud.
