Rick Rostedt

My friend Rick Rostedt died in 1987 in San Francisco. He was in the recent film, "We Were Here". Block 284. When I saw his panel, it took me back all those years ago. Rick was studying Botany at U. T. in Austin when he left to move to SF to help his partner Dave. They are both in the film. Was good to see my old friend, as he was.

I am so thankful to be able

I am so thankful to be able to see my brother's quilt panel that I made for him. It brings back many memories of him and the wonderful times we had together before he died. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of him. Thank You!

It was a thrill to discover

It was a thrill to discover the quilt of a high school friend while volunteering to tie four of the quilts together. Please don't forget to correct his name in the data base from Ray Code to Ray Cude so others will be able to find his quilt. Thank you for all you do. It was a wonderful experience - highlight of my 13 day trip to D. C.

Is it possible to search by

Is it possible to search by year, or by location? I was not able to find my brother's quilt, which we submitted to the NAMES project in Chicago, 2005. Thanks for any suggestions.

little sister

Hi bro - I was listening to the radio on my way to work, and I heard about this website on PRI. I just clicked on the option to view your panel, and there it is...it's so beautiful David. I'll send this link to the rest of the family, and when I'm in Denver next week, I'll show it to mom. I really miss you, everyone does. I'll be at the cabin next week also, so I'll see ya there.

How wonderful to be able to

How wonderful to be able to view my son's panel and those of his friends at the touch of a keyboard. Robert has been gone 22 years now and I used to look forward to volunteering at the quilt showings whenever they were within 500 miles of us. The last time being in 1996 in Washington, DC. Thank you so much for this wonderful new way to reach out and touch him.

I had the Man's name and I

I had the Man's name and I made the quilt square, and still couldn't find it.
